 View from the front
Our present situation:
- We live on the outskirts of the city but it becomes more and more urbanized.
- In 2000, Dehradun became the capital of Uttarakhand. Since then the price of buying land and renting houses has more than doubled.
- Today we rent seven houses. In one, we have a classroom, the office and the girls dorm. The second house is for the boys dorm and the other five are for the families that live outside of the centre. Yearly rent is Rs. 4,25,600 (approx. $9,100 USD / 6700 Euro).
- We believe strongly in multiplication through training.
When we run a DTS we can’t run a secondary level school at the same time! So we need to find a piece of land. We have found a piece of very suitable property and want to take up the challenge.
- Size is 4,75 bigha (approx. 1 acre). Front 50 meters (163 feet), back 30 meters (99 feet), left side 96 (315 feet), right side 80 meter (260 feet).
- Price for the property is Rs. 2.4 crore (approx. $510,000 USD / 380.000 Euro)
- It is big enough to run at least 4 training schools at the same time and to open a retreat centre where we can host conferences and seminars (one of the needs in YWAM North India).

- W e also need approximately 1 crore ($212,000 USD / 158.000 Euro) for initial construction.
It is a great investment to save for the future and increase the number of students trained annually to 500-1000.
